Windows 10 Invasion

For months I have received notifications on my laptop asking if I would like to update my system. Every time I responded “no.”

This last week I went to start my laptop, and when I did, it took forever to get going, and somehow, magically had installed Windows 10 all by itself.

I understand that automatic updates happen. But, when you ask me to update for months and I say no you just force it on me? Well gee thanks for raping my laptop Microsoft. I didn’t ask for this. I didn’t want it. I was happy with my previous system, (which took me forever to learn as it is.)

I discovered I’m not the only one this has happened to. Many of my friends have also been hacked by the software giant. And not one of us is thankful for it. On top of hijacking our systems we are now getting instructional emails on how to use this new software, being told “welcome,” to something I never invited into my system in the first place. Honestly I feel like my computer and my email have been violated.

This statement has been used to describe religion but I’m going to alter it in regards to this current phenomenon:

“Having the new windows is like having a penis. It’s ok to be proud of it.  But don’t go whipping it out in public or shoving down people’s throats.

Or in our case, uploading it to our computers without our consent.

End rant

  1. [ Smiles ] In March of this year, I jumped on the Linux bandwagon.

I grew tired of Microsoft and Windows.

I do not have that problem that you are going through!

That happened to us at work on different computers at different times. Our special software won’t run on Windows 10 so it is a real hassle to roll it back. Forcing you to install a program should be illegal. It is almost as bad as forcing you to buy insurance.
